Building Trust
The idea of trusting a stranger with capturing your wedding day photos (maybe the most important photos ever) sounds pretty ridiculous doesn't it? Yet so many brides hire a photographer for their special day without even hearing their voice!
This is why an engagement session is so important! It's an icebreaker with you and your photographer to get to know each other and begin to develop a relationship built on trust and friendship. When it comes to the stress and chaos of your wedding day, having a friend that is there to make sure you look and feel beautiful is crucial!
I recently shot an engagement session with Richelle & Kyle and I immediately felt like we were best friends. We joked and laughed and got way too personal but it was so fun! Comfort and trust is expressed in our photos!

Not to mention how beautiful they are! Before our session, I directed them with an idea of outfits that I wanted them to wear. I was so impressed when we met because they absolutely NAILED IT. Richelle's deep red gown is exactly what I wanted and it fits the composition perfectly without being too much of a distraction. And Kyle's toned down slacks and suspenders is a perfect expression of his personality. Smart, fun, and romantic... I mean, who wouldn't want to be friends with these guys!?

The above photo is my favorite because you can just feel the love between these two. I couldn't imagine a better engagement session and I'm so lucky to have developed a relationship with Richelle & Kyle. I am so excited and pumped to capture their wedding day this December. Keep an eye out because those photos are going to be BOMB.
